Team Role Summary
As an Operations Intern you will assist in evaluating and improving the overall efficiencies of manufacturing, warehousing and shipping procedures.  You will take part in many aspects of the business in order to better understand all operations. Within this role you will propose improved methods of labor, inventory management, fulfillment procedures and shipping logistics. Throughout these areas you will take part in purchasing, software implementation and new hire onboarding procedures. Helping with projections and forecasting will be beneficial to growing and scaling BAR-U-EAT with a strong understanding of cost-benefit analysis and profitable business model. While responsibilities will be centered around operations, an open mind and enthusiastic attitude for work outside of your role is essential in the startup phase. You will have the opportunity to grow with BAR-U-EAT, create roles, and build on your skill sets.

Responsibilities

  • Propose strategies across BAR-U-EAT to successfully scale operations.
  • Evaluate efficient and sustainable business models for inbound and outbound movement.
  • Help standardize procedures for communication between departments and customers.
  • Optimize workflows while reducing costs and improving efficiencies.
  • Have a hands-on role in manufacturing, warehousing and shipping operations.
  • Review and improve standard operating procedures.
  • Research and implement new software.

Qualifications & Skills Required

  • Pursuing and/or completing education in business management/administration, Communications or a related field.
  • Must have strong organization, project management, and data analysis skills
  • Proficient in Excel/Sheets
  • Posses an eye for detail with a priority on doing things right and efficient
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly motivated with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Receives feedback with willingness to learn/grow
  • Embraces change with a growing and evolving company
  • Strong preference for retail and/or consumer packaged goods experience

Additional Information
