This revolutionary work displays a bar with a nail hammered straight through it and three hammer holes surrounding it to symbolize the attack on great nutrition and sustainable packaging by large, multinational corporations. The emotional use of duct tape loosely holding the bar on the wall gives the viewer the profound feeling of our future hanging in the balance should these attacks be successful.
The artist decided to use raw, unpainted drywall, referencing the use of an un-natural traditional building material which we experience every day. This represents the past and present. The drywall is beautifully juxtaposed by the bar which uses revolutionary natural, plant-based materials to represent the future.
