Team Role Summary
As a Sales and Activations Manager you will be responsible for securing retail chains and distributors as well as maintaining those accounts and building brand recognition through in person activations and events. You will work with the sales team to develop a plan in order to successfully launch new markets and grow existing ones. Sales and in person experiential marketing efforts will include, but not be limited to grocery chains, independent retailers, regional/national distributors, and outdoor gear stores with activations on site, at events as a vendor, sponsor, or host. Cross Functional skills are necessary as you’ll work closely with sales, marketing, operations, and finance. Ability to build presentations, customer/account acquisition plans, and set business objectives and forecasts for sales, in person activations and events is required. While responsibilities will be centered around sales, in person activations and events, an open mind and enthusiastic attitude for work outside of your role is essential in the startup phase. You will have the opportunity to grow with BAR-U-EAT, create roles, and build on your skill sets.

Responsibilities

  • Improving BAR-U-EAT’s brand distribution, recognition and market share.
  • Create strong relationships with current accounts, being personable and professional.
  • Research opportunities to expand and grow across new regions and retail avenues.
  • Execute account acquisition plans in order to secure retail chains across the grocery, natural foods, outdoor, sport specialty, drug and hardware store markets.
  • Prepare and present sales pitches to key customers in order to achieve regional saturation by securing distribution placement in key markets and regions.
  • Work and collaborate with sales and marketing to design and develop effective promotional plans to maximize sales and brand awareness across all levels.
  • Research events in targeted markets to assess ROI for potential partnerships.
  • Design, negotiate and finalize mutually beneficial contracts for events and activations.
  • Create and execute engaging activations to build meaningful connections and brand awareness through purposeful sampling, selling promotions and/or partnerships.
  • Establish goals and measurable outcome reports for event engagement and sales.

Qualifications & Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred
  • 4 years of experience in sales, or equivalent related work experience
  • CPG background is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Comfortable with public speaking and leading presentations
  • Results-oriented with strong analytical skills 
  • Must possess computer skills and a great familiarity with business software such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Google Suite.
  • Possess excellent organizational skills—can multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently
  • Ability to demonstrate good common sense, sound judgment and work independently
  • Flexibility to adapt to all situations and work varied hours; possibly work weekends or evenings on occasion
  • Ability to perform at high levels in a fast-paced ever-changing work environment
  • Be flexible and embrace change with a growing and evolving company
  • Ability to coordinate several parallel projects, ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Positive can-do attitude and a growth mindset

Travel
Some travel will be required (10% - 20%)

Additional Information
Preference given to those with physical presence in the Steamboat Springs, CO area. Starting pay range $58,000 dependent upon experience and qualifications. Email resume to info@barueat.com to apply.
